Call for Expressions of Interest
All regulated members in good standing who meet the eligibility criteria set out in the Bylaws are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to fill upcoming vacancies on our Council by March 30, 2026.
Merit-Based Council Appointments
The College of Dental Technologists of Alberta (CDTA) now uses a merit-based appointment process, rather than elections, to select new regulated Council members. Read more.
Council ensures the College meets its regulatory obligations, establishes and monitors the CDTA’s Strategic Plan, and sets the overall direction of the organization, while delegating day-to-day operations to Administration through clear, outcome-based oversight.
The Role and Impact of CDTA Council Members
The active involvement of regulated members on Council is absolutely vital to the above work. Regulated members contribute essential professional expertise, current practice knowledge, and practical insight that grounds governance decisions in the realities of your profession.
Your informed and engaged participation is also critical to ensuring that Council’s decisions are balanced, strategic, and firmly focused on protecting the public and strengthening effective regulation.
Access previous meeting summaries and see a complete list of current council members by visiting the Council page on the CDTA website.
