Practice Guidance Medical Device Compliance
This guideline is provided with the collaboration of the College of Alberta Denturists and the College of Dental Technologists of Alberta.
We are pleased to share a new guidance document developed in collaboration with the College of Dental Technologists and the College of Alberta Denturists.
This resource is designed to assist you in navigating the use, sale, and licensure of medical devices commonly encountered in your practice, such as dentures, bridges, crowns, resins, denture coatings, filling materials, prosthodontic appliances, artificial teeth, denture repair kits, and materials used in the fabrication of dental appliances and devices.
As regulated members, you must adhere to Health Canada regulations when sourcing these components and materials.
While the Colleges are not directly responsible for regulated medical devices, this joint effort aims to assist you in navigating the use, sale, and licensure of these devices effectively.
You can access the guidelines here.
