Council Appointment Update
Following the process set out in CDTA Council policy, the Appointment Committee was pleased to identify a strong pool of candidates to fill the upcoming Council vacancies. This year, there were two positions available and two highly qualified candidates, both of whom met all the established criteria.
This is a great milestone for the College as we transition to a merit-based appointment process.
In previous years, elections consistently left Council positions unfilled. This year, however, the new process resulted in a full slate of qualified candidates. This is an extremely positive outcome and helps ensure the Council is well-positioned to support the important work of the College.
Appointments to Council We’re pleased to announce that the following registrants have been appointed to the CDTA Council for a three-year term from April 30, 2026, to April 30, 2029:
- Mr. Philip Zachariah, DT(RAA)
- Louise Byer, DT
We thank the members of the Appointment Committee for their time, care, and thoughtful work throughout this process. We also extend a sincere thank you to outgoing Council member Pam Rehm for her meaningful contributions throughout her term.
