Audits of the CDTA’s Continuing Competence Program (CCP) were conducted over the summer, following the transition to a two-year cycle effective October 1, 2023. In accordance with CDTA’s audit policy, participants were randomly selected based on the last digit of their registration number.
A total of 43 registrants were initially selected for audit. The outcomes are summarized below:

13 registrants – Fully compliant; confirmation letters issued.

21 registrants – Brought into compliance within the 30-day preliminary notice period.

9 registrants – non-compliant after 30 days:

$50 fine + 14-day extension issued.

4 registrants responded with 14-day extension, audits incomplete, deadline extended to September 30 (prior to renewal eligibility).

5 registrants issued final notice (Sept 2) + $100 fine + 7-day compliance deadline.

5 registrants fulfilled their outstanding CCP requirements.
