Dear member,
The Council would like to appeal to the membership to serve on various committees. If you are willing to commit some of your time and your talent, this is a rich and rewarding experience and a good opportunity for you to give back to the profession. As an added incentive, members that serve on committees will receive continuing education points, Typically 6 points depending on the Committee and the time commitment involved.
The Council is actively seeking members to serve on the following Committees:
· Registration and Education Committee
· Discipline Committee
The Council also is in the need for individuals to act as Examiners for the upcoming practical exam.
If you are interested in putting your name forward to serve on any of the above Committees please contact the College office for more information.

The Council would like to announce the date for the next AGM. It is to be held Saturday, April 14th at 2:30 pm at the Coast Plaza Hotel in Edmonton.

The Council is pleased to announce the AGM is being held in conjunction with DenTechWest again this year. This AGM should prove to be very informative and is not to be missed if at all possible; as in years past, the Council has faced some unique challenges and this past year is no different.
Spectrum Magazine has offered a room for our meeting at no cost to the Membership. The Council would like to encourage the membership to support this event and to take advantage of the educational programming, including social and networking opportunities.

Please find below the lastest version of the Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics, and Bylaws as approved by the Council and the Membership at the AGM held October 16, 2011. The above mentioned documents have been forwarded to Alberta Health and Wellness for review and comment.

Dear Member:
It is the policy of the College to charge a fee of $50.00 to re-issue a Practice Permit renewal form. This fee covers the cost of canceling the previously issued Practice permit, the re-pulling of your file and printing and mailing costs. It is the members responsibility to notify the College in the even of a change in your mailing address. If for any reason the mailing address is correct in the system and you simply did not receive your renewal ,the $50.00 fee will be waived.

Dear Member,
On behalf of the Council I would like to thank all of you for coming out to the recent member’s meeting. As indicated during the meeting the College is posting the budget for 2012.
The renewal forms will be sent out soon, as a reminder, if you have recently moved and not notified the college please do so as soon as possible so that we can avoid misdirected mail. Late fees will apply if the College does not receive you renewal on time.
Finally, the College is actively looking for volunteers to serve on various Committees. If you would like to contribute your time and talent, please contact the College.
